The BIPOC Affinity Care Circle is a weekly peer-led practice and discussion circle that centers Black, Indigenous and People of Color, their experiences, and their healing. We want to serve as a place to celebrate and uplift ourselves and each other. We trust you to know if you identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color.

As we come together to heal, we ask that sensitivity for the experience of those who do not easily pass as white be carefully considered and centered.  We would like to work with the privilege-power-protection framework of Dr. Claudelle Glasgow and Dr. Shanté Paradigm Smalls, understanding these terms to be context-dependent and often fluid.  We want to reflect on the kinds of privileges and powers we inhabit, or do not—and the ways in which we might be able to offer protection, or require it.

Times are shown in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
