Touching the Earth: Authenticity In Troubled Times

  • Northwest Unitarian Universalist Church 1025 Mt.Vernon Highway Northwest Sandy Springs, GA, 30327 United States (map)

Western Tibetan-Buddhist teachers Lama Rod Owens, co-author of Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love, and Liberation, and Lama Justin von Bujdoss, author of Modern Tantric Buddhism: Embodiment and Authenticity in Dharma Practice, present Bhumisparsha’s first nonresidential retreat in the Atlanta, GA area.  A continuation of last year’s inaugural Bhumisparsha's retreat, the event will focus on cultivating practices and building community that can accommodate the contradictions and strong emotions that often arise in moments of social turmoil. The event aims to further Bhumisparsha’s intention to reimagine a practice of tantra, maintaining the power of ritual practice and direct experience while centering healing from the harms of social injustice and misuse of power.

Cost:  $135.00; Generosity Cost: $45.00 (or pay what you can afford)
