Anticipated start date: January 17th, 2022

Part-time: 15 hours per week, on average

Location and Eligibility: Remote; must be eligible to work in the United States of America

Hourly rate: $33-$38

We are a small, dynamic organization offering Tantric Buddhist teaching, practice and social change opportunities for people seeking to be awake in our dynamic, multicultural world. We are looking for someone who can help us to adapt as we grow by translating our vision into action during a period in which we are undergoing an organizational structure revisit. This person is also a self-motivated and creative organizer, skilled in managing administrative details through online platforms and comfortable with remote work.

This is an employee position accountable to Mission Circle (Bhumisparsha’s Board of Directors, consisting of volunteer community members) working initially as a coordinator for the activities of the General Circle (Bhumisparsha’s main coordinating body, which currently includes the General Coordinator, one paid contractor, and two active sangha volunteers), including its administrative and operational responsibilities.

Organizational Statement of Purpose:

Bhumisparsha supports students in authentically awakening in our dynamic, multicultural world by drawing upon tantric Buddhism, integrating multi-faith practices, and bridging spiritual practice and social change.

Through regular retreats and online teachings by our Founding Teachers, both trained and authorized as Lamas in the Karma Kagyu Buddhist lineage, we offer instructions on meditation, visualization, and ritual practice grounded in this lineage and adapted for contemporary relevance, as well as text study, gatherings, and supportive community organizing that aim to empower the sangha to bring the fruits of this work into the wider world.
